About Scranton Single Tax Office
The Scranton Single Tax Office was created to administer the tax laws of the City of Scranton and the Scranton School District and to provide one single location to pay various taxes. The Collector of Taxes, William L. Courtright, supervises a staff of approximately 30, who strive to assess and collect all taxes in a fair and equitable manner.
This office collects:
- Current Real Estate Taxes for Lackawanna County, the Scranton School District, and The City of Scranton.
- Current and delinquent, Scranton School District and City of Scranton:
- Business Privilege and Mercantile Taxes
- Earned Income Taxes
- Employers Withholding Taxes
- Local Services Tax
