For KOZ filing the following is required:
For real estate taxes Single Tax Office needs a copy of the approval letter from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development referencing the parcel number along with a copy of the real estate tax bill.
For earned income taxes Single Tax Office needs a copy of the approval letter from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development referencing the same year as the return being filed, a copy of the Certificate of Occupancy, and a copy of PA-40 KOZ return filed with the Department of Revenue.
For Business Privilege Taxes
1. BP form is to be complete with tax liability shown. Under tax liability KOZ is to be written.
2. Taxpayer is to attach proof of gross receipts and Pa state letter received granting the KOZ exemption for that year. (eg) Tax Year 2010 exemption letter for 2010 from Pa state.
3. All returns due by 4-15 of filing year unless on Federal Extention which copy of extention is to be submitted with taxpayer's account number listed.
